The Our Part Food Program was established in October 2015 by the Green Creek Bethel United Methodist Church to help combat hunger in Cape May County, New Jersey.  The program provides food for children for the weekend when school meals are unavailable.  Since its inception, the program has provided over 15,000 bags of food for children in need.  We anticipate distributing 3,000+ bags during the 2021-2022 school year, averaging 120 students per week.  The average cost per bag is $7.00.  The program now serves qualifying students in pre-school through sixth grade among four local elementary schools.

The program’s success is made possible with the community’s support, including individuals, school staff, local churches and businesses. The program is accomplished through the efforts of volunteers. There are no administrative costs/fees, so 100% of contributions directly benefit the children.
